Bromley Pagaent of Motoring

Well what a day out!

After being stuck in traffic for over an hour on the way in (comiserations to those whose cars reacted badly to the wait!) we finally made it in and got to enjoy one of our favourite events of the year.

It was a beautiful sunny day and I'm sure that we weren't the only ones to get a little red. As usual there were cars of every make and model, a great show that takes pretty much all day to have a good look around. Our only disappointment really was that so many people left early so we missed many of those which had been in the one make parking and even missed some of the clubs. It's easy to do as to see everything properly you really need a full day to walk round.

Pictures to follow soon!

TSSC Northants

Wednesday was club night and we managed to make it along this month. The TSSC Northants club is really friendly and we have great fun. This month our quizz consisted of a memory tray. We thought we'd done well but another table did a whole lot better - well done to you!

We were suprised to see members wearing club t-shirts and immediately wanted our own, only to find that they had been so popular that they've sold out. We'll have to get our names on the list for the re-order and make sure that we have ours for the club weekend at Wickstead Park.

Generally going along to club meetings is a chance to meet other Triumph owners and have a bit of fun (and enjoy the lovely food at the Elwes Arms!) but this meet we managed to get a useful tip off that will help us get the Herald repaired. Yes our poor car has had an accident. After the Newton Longville Festival of Transport the other week we took him out for a drive and had someone run into the back of us.

It's one of the risks of actually using your classic we know but it was a bit galling to think that he won't be 100% original once we've had the repairs carried out. Still we are able to use him still so we're not letting that spoil our summer outings.

Thanks to everyone at TSSC Northants for being such a welcoming and helpful club!
